DAX 2M: Oliver Velez Dynamic Distance Edition
This update optimizes the visualization and precision of the Elephant Bar (EB) strategy, specifically tailored for the DAX 2-minute chart. The “Dynamic Distance Edition” solves the issue of overlapping symbols by using an intelligent, volatility-based distance calculation.
What’s new in this version?
- Dynamic Distances (ATR-based): Arrows and signals are no longer stuck directly to the candles. The system uses the Average True Range (ATR) to automatically adjust the optimal distance for signals based on current market volatility.
- Enhanced Elephant Bar Logic: Refined detection of massive “Institutional Candles.” Only candles with a body ratio of at least 85% and an above-average range are marked as valid signals.
- Battlefield Filter (Near Fab 4): Signals are only generated when they occur near crucial levels (20 SMA, 200 SMA, or Prior Day High/Low/Close).
- Wide State Protection: Built-in filter against overextension. If the price is too far from the 20 SMA (overextended), new buy signals are suppressed to prevent “buying the top.”
Technical Details & Display:
- Blue Line (8 SMA): Speed Line for momentum.
- Green Line (20 SMA): The “Lotto Line” – the core anchor point for EB signals.
- Red Line (200 SMA): “The Magnet” – the ultimate target and resistance level.
- Visualization: Bullish signals appear as a green arrow below the low, bearish signals as a red arrow above the high – each labeled “EB IGNITED” with an automatic stop-loss marker.
