This screener is made for intraday trading.
By scanning the market simultaneously up to 8 timeframes ( 1min / 2 min / 5 min / 15 min / 30min / 1 hour / 2 hours / 4 hours), and then sorting results by detection timeframe, the screener will allow you not to miss any engulfing signal, neither bullish or bearish.
Engulfing Indicator included
Everyone has his own search criterias to search for bullish and bearish engulfings , this screener has many adjustables parameters so that everyone can have his own tool. These settings are done in a very simple way and without having to modify the code.
To adjust screeners parameters, simply open the Variables 🔧 menu :
A first general filtering of stocks is carried out on the Daily time frame according to 2 criterias :
- minimum stock price (for those who do not wish to have a penny in the results for example)
- minimum average volume (expressed in number of transactions or capital exchanged) to have the desired level of liquidity on the stock.
The multi timeframe screener, for intraday trading, scans the market simultaneously up to 8 different timeframe, results are then sorted to identify in wich timeframes the engulfing has been detected.
The values shown above are given, as examples and do not constitute an optimal or recommended setting, everyone should find his own settings.
Adjustable validation criteria :
- Bearish trend before a bullish engulfing
- Bullish trend befoir a bearish engulfing
- Volume increasing on the second candle
- Percentage of volume increase
