Story:

The concept for the DragonSwing Plus algorithm was born from a meticulous examination of the historical data of our legendary system, the renowned “Dragon Swing BOT.” This system has earned its badge of honor as one of the best trading systems you can find across the entire ProRealCode marketplace, boasting a prestigious “best seller” designation and consistent 5-star ratings. However, our quest for excellence never ceases; we always aspire to achieve the best and stay prepared for any challenges, much like true dragons. This led us to ponder: ‘Can it be further improved?’ While further enhancement seemed challenging, we succeeded.

We conducted a comprehensive analysis of historical data, meticulously identifying trends, patterns, and potential improvements. This process spanned months of in-depth research and statistical analysis, seeking opportunities for optimization. The outcome? An algorithm that excels on the 18-minute timeframe. While the Dragon Swing Bot at 20 minutes specializes in oscillations and lateral phases at a slightly slower pace, the 18-minute algorithm can also focus on faster movements, including growth phases in trends. Consequently, when we joyfully compared the overall performance of both algorithms by testing them together, we noticed that they complemented each other perfectly. They worked in harmony, enhancing the combination of low drawdowns and substantial profits. We decided to keep the algorithms separate in different systems, rather than combining them into a multi-timeframe system with cumulative orders. This decision was made to avoid potential hiccups, bugs, or order confusion. After testing, we confirmed that they execute orders more efficiently and smoothly when kept separate from each other.

NOTE: The 18-minute timeframe is not included among the default TFs of the ProRealTime charts, but it will be enough to add it by simply opening the drop-down menu of the time units, selecting “minutes” and writing 18 and then clicking on the add button, as shown in image below.

Overview:

As can be seen from the data carried out by the tests, it is an excellent and very solid strategy. With only 1 contract size on the “EURUSD mini” (at 1€ per point) at 0.8 spread (average spread on IG is 0.6 usually) he would be able to make around 2000€ of profits in a year (even better than the DragonSwing Bot we have on the 20 min!).  And we note that the drawdown risk is really minimal, we have had it live since June and it is in profit without problems. A size of 1 contract on “EURUSD mini” requires around €300 of margin capital which is very low considering the returns, so even a small initial capital of €1000, and even less if desired, would be enough to get started and obtain excellent results. TP stands for Take Profit in points

SL stands for Stop Loss in points

ContractSize stands for the size number of contract for each trade.

Carefull!t is advisable not to change these settings unless you know exactly what you are doing.

OpenTimeSessionday indicates the time of day when the algorithm can start opening new trades

CloseTimeSessionday indicates the time of the day when the algorithm stops openins new trades

If you intend to change it, consider that the time is always indicated in the format HH,MM,SS (hours, minutes, seconds).
